Avant Garde
The term art avant-garde refers to original and unconventional techniques in art that break the boundaries of norms and standards. Starting from the 19th century, the “avant-garde” strategy was looking to change the previously decided policies and stimulate fresh methods. This approach was fueled by the wish of the movement’s artists to escape from the mundane ways of an ordinary art and accept radical styles, topics, and formats. The height of avant-garde art is dated from the first half to the middle of the twentieth century, during which Dadaism, Surrealism, and Abstract Expressionism made notable remarks in the universe of art. Contemporary art makes usage of avant-garde art techniques, constantly creating and producing non-traditional masterpieces.
