Yuliia Didevych
Artist from Ukraine
I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine in 1997 . I am inspired by the work of various masters: Mykhailo Guida, Matissa, Albert Marche, Murashko. I believe that the composition plays the main role in the picture and in my works I look for such compositions that would convey feelings.I graduated from college with the title of drawing teacher. I received my education at the Academy of Fine Arts (NAOMA) as a painter, I have a master's degree.

Corrida
Painting by Yuliia Didevych
60 x 80 cm • Oil on canvas
Location:
kyiv, Ukraine
“Corrida” is an allegory of female sexuality as an inner force that requires no aggression, yet always holds tension. The nude female body appears not as an object, but as the subject of the game — calm, composed, and fully aware of its own power. She stands beside the bull, a symbol of primal instinct, wild energy, and the masculine principle, not at the moment of attack, but at a point of delicate balance.
The woman neither fights nor submits — she simply is. Her pose combines softness and challenge, eroticism and control. Here, sexuality is not a display, but a state: quiet, deep, and dangerous in its freedom. The space of the painting is filled with restrained drama, where corporeality becomes a language of strength, and closeness to the beast serves as a metaphor for accepting one’s own shadow nature.
“Corrida” is not about victory or defeat. It is about the moment when a woman knows who she is — and that knowledge is enough.
