I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine in 1997 . I am inspired by the work of various masters: Mykhailo Guida, Matissa, Albert Marche, Murashko. I believe that the composition plays the main role in the picture and in my works I look for such compositions that would convey feelings.I graduated from college with the title of drawing teacher. I received my education at the Academy of Fine Arts (NAOMA) as a painter, I have a master's degree.

Blackout
Painting by Yuliia Didevych
50 x 50 cm • Oil and canvas
Location:
kyiv, Ukraine
“Blackout” is a portrait of inner exhaustion, of silence after explosions, and of darkness that has become part of everyday life in Kyiv. The painting emerges from the experience of living through winter in a city under constant attacks, enduring cold, and prolonged outages of electricity, water, and heating. When the temperature drops to minus 16°C, darkness is no longer only physical — it becomes emotional. “Blackout” is not only about the absence of electricity. It is about a human condition shaped by prolonged darkness — and about a quiet, persistent hope that the war will end, and that light will return not only to homes, but to lives.
