A midsummer night's dream
Painting by Yuliia Didevych
60 x 80 cm • Oil and canvas
Location:
kyiv, Ukraine
The painting “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is a sensual ode to nature, light, and the human form dissolving into the silence of summer. The nude figure, partially submerged in water, appears as part of a mystical landscape, a reflection caught between reality and reverie. The warm golden-brown background intertwines with the cool hues of the water, creating an atmosphere of enigmatic harmony. Scattered accents of turquoise and green evoke the shimmering light on the pond’s surface, while delicate water lilies enhance the sense of tranquility and magic.
This work captures a moment of unity between a human and nature, a fragile yet alluring presence hidden within the twilight of summer.
