I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine in 1997 . I am inspired by the work of various masters: Mykhailo Guida, Matissa, Albert Marche, Murashko. I believe that the composition plays the main role in the picture and in my works I look for such compositions that would convey feelings.I graduated from college with the title of drawing teacher. I received my education at the Academy of Fine Arts (NAOMA) as a painter, I have a master's degree.

Under the Green Grove
Painting by Yuliia Didevych
50 x 70 cm • Canvas with oil
Location:
kyiv, Ukraine
This painting is inspired by Ukrainian folklore and the traditional folk song about Oleksa Dovbush, which begins with the line: “Oh, under the green grove walks young Dovbush…” The figure of Marichka is presented not as a literal historical character, but as a universal feminine symbol of memory, waiting, and silent prayer. She holds a loaf of bread with a candle — a sign of offering, farewell, and wordless hope. The moment depicted is suspended in time, as if everything has already happened or is about to unfold. The red background intensifies the sense of tension and inevitability, while her lowered gaze conveys acceptance rather than despair. There is no heroic gesture here — only the quiet presence of a woman who remains after the legend ends. The painting speaks of love without declarations and of memory that outlives myth.
