A representative of modern trends of the fine and decorative arts artist. In her works, Iryna places emphasis on the process of creating an image, on the interdependence of the artist and the painting and vice versa. The themes of the authors artistic expression most often are revealed in a landscape, her own vision of the landscape and space where it spreads with all the finest nuances of its emotional colouring. Born in Ukraine in 1991, Taras Sereda’s artistic journey is one of evolution, both in geography and expression. Beginning with a foundation in Industrial Design at the State Academy of Arts and Design in Kharkiv, he was trained to see structure, balance, and function. But art was never just about function for Taras, it was about feeling. In 2011, his path took an unexpected turn when he moved to New York City, a transition that reshaped both his worldview and his artistic language. In the charged energy of New York, his work began to shift. While his early practice was rooted in classical objectivism, his artistic language became more fluid, intuitive, and personal. He embraced charcoal and watercolour that allowed both precision and spontaneity — creating delicate yet bold line drawings that exist in a space between stillness and movement. His paintings often feel like echoes of fleeting emotions, subtle and restrained, yet profoundly impactful. Occasionally, he steps into oil painting, where the contrast is striking. Here, his work transforms — brighter, more visceral, with thick, expressive brushstrokes. If his charcoal and watercolours are whispers, his oil paintings are declarations. This duality is what defines Taras’s artistic approach: restraint and release, control and chaos, simplicity and depth. His themes are deeply personal—reflections of relationships, self-portraits, quiet observations of still life. His subjects seem caught in moments of introspection, mirroring the artist’s own exploration of identity and experience. The tension between intimacy and distance is a constant, giving his work a quiet but persistent resonance. Now based between Paris and Berlin, Taras has taken his art to international audiences. His works have been exhibited in major European art capitals, featured in auctions, and collected by those who are drawn to their quiet power.

Artwork Egor Guschin - Subjektiv.art

Egor Guschin was born in 1988 in Ukraine, graduated from the Kharkiv University of Construction and Architecture with a degree in Organizational Management. He worked in his specialty for a while, then moved into the food service industry and worked as a barista in coffee shops for a long time before finding his true passion in photography. Egor's work has been featured in publications such as Plivkapeoplemag and exhibited in various galleries in Lviv, Kharkiv and Kyiv, Ukraine. This is how his career as an artist began in 2023. Now he is a member of the MYPH school of conceptual and fine art photography. Works with analog photography, mainly using the multiple exposure technique. Inspired by surrealism, loves to study mysticism and dreams, and experiments with expired film.

Artwork Mariana Horgan - Subjektiv.art

In her studio practice the artist mixes painting, drawing, sculpting, collage and raw forms of etching such as monoprinting and woodcut. Always finding beauty in the unconventional and with a keen interest on recycling waste, don´t be surprised to find her digging in garbage at construction sites or "treasure hunting" at the beach for objects and materials that catch her eye and meet some of her ideas.She's most inspired by everyday life, people and nature, with maybe the sea in the spotlight; but her previous experiences in live, childhood memories, loss and a consequent "joie de vivre" that coexists with a certain melancholy also tend to appear on many of her work. Constantly playing with colour and texture in this hide and seek game, her pieces often reveal a sense of calmness, peace and light when finished, although many times there are emotional storms and chaos in the under layers. Her work comes many times as calming and enlightening to her collectors.

Her work is a stage, and every canvas is a scene unfolding. Darina’s journey began in a traditional family, where expectations were clear—but her fascination with the surreal led her beyond the familiar. She started art school at six, mastering techniques that shaped her unique visual language. While studying graphic design in Kyiv, Darina found her true voice in painting — a space where boundaries blurred and deeper narratives emerged. At 19, she moved to Lisbon, an experience that shaped her perspective as an outsider navigating an unfamiliar world. Her art became a reflection of identity, isolation, and the quiet weight of societal expectations. From Schönhausen Palace Museum in Berlin to New York’s 17frost Gallery, her work speaks to a universal struggle — the tension between conformity and self-expression. Whether in the dreamlike haze of New Dream World or the raw intimacy of My First Diary, Darina’s paintings invite viewers to step into a moment of self-reflection, where emotions take form and meaning unfolds. Darina doesn’t just paint figures — she paints questions. Her art asks: Who are we, beyond the expectations placed upon us? What do we reveal, and what do we conceal? Her world is one where the symbolic and the surreal merge, reflecting not just her own journey, but the collective search for meaning in a world full of invisible walls.

Dzvinya Podlyashetska

Born in Lviv, Ukraine, based in Vienna, Dzvinya Podlyashetska is an artist whose work moves between the playful and the profound. Her art is a vibrant mix of comic-like figures, bold colours, and surreal compositions, capturing emotions that are often felt but rarely seen. She transforms the ordinary into something magical - people, animals, and everyday objects take on new meaning in her world, where naivety and sarcasm, love and chaos, laughter and melancholy exist in fragile harmony. Dzvinya’s journey into art began with a deep fascination for illustration and printmaking. She studied graphic design at the Ivan Trush Lviv State College of Decorative and Applied Arts before continuing her fine arts education at the Ukrainian Printmaking Academy. She has shaped a distinctive voice, one that blends storytelling with visual poetry. Her art is a reflection of human relationships, inner dialogues, and the constant push and pull between personal identity and external influences. Mental health is a key theme in her work, expressed through dynamic, exaggerated forms and rich textures that echo the complexities of emotion. Each piece is an invitation to pause, to look deeper, and to rediscover the joy of simplicity that is often lost in the rush of modern life. Exhibited across Europe and the United States, from the National Museum of Ukraine in Kyiv to the Volkskunde Museum in Vienna and the 17 Frost Gallery in New York. Some artists speak through colours, others through form, but with Liudmila Davydenko, it’ something more - something beneath the surface, beneath even the layers of paint she so meticulously applies to her canvases. I first came across her work at an exhibition in Vienna, where her paintings, rich in texture and introspection, seemed to hold something unseen, something just out of reach. I knew then that I needed to understand her process, to see her world through her own eyes. Our visit to her studio in Lviv was planned after a long working session with my co-founders. It was a chance to engage directly with an artist whose work had left an impression on me. When we arrived, the setting was unexpectedly cinematic, her studio was nestled inside an old Soviet industrial building, its long, dimly lit corridors stretching endlessly like something out of Kubrick’ The Shining. There was a strange stillness in the air, a kind of suspended time, which somehow made the vibrancy of her paintings even more striking. Stepping into her workspace, I was immediately met with the scent of oil paint and the quiet discipline of an artist deeply immersed in her craft. Liudmila belongs to a generation of artists for whom patience and precision are second nature. Her early training as a sculptor is evident in the way she approaches her paintings - not as flat compositions, but as something three-dimensional, something that carries weight and substance. She doesn’ simply paint; she constructs. Every piece undergoes an intricate layering process, sometimes up to eight layers deep, giving the final work a sense of depth that feels almost geological, as if revealing different strata of meaning.

Peintre et graveur, il suivra une formation de graphiste puis une formation de peintre d’ornement à l’école Boulle. Il a travaillé quelques années au théâtre du Soleil entant que décorateur. A la fois classique et moderne, nostalgique et futuriste, rendant hommage autant aux racines qu’aux rameaux. Dans son travail, les cultures, les époques se rencontrent, se transforment et évoluent les une dans les autres, décrivant les nombreux niveaux de réalité que nous habitons. Dans ses tableaux, des corps géométriques apparaissent vertigineux dans des ciels romantiques du 19e siècle, éclipsant l'horizon. L‘artiste travaille à la peinture à l'huile, à l’aérosol et à la gravure, combinant les médiums par couches successives. Elles sont dévoilées successivement au cours du processus pour y laisser intervenir l'aléatoire, la surprise. Edmond Li Bellefroid est un alchimiste, toujours cherchant à représenter le rapport entre le matériel et l’immatériel.
