Taras Sereda

After studying Industrial Design at the Academy of Arts in Ukraine, Taras journeyed to New York, where his innovative artistic style began to flourish. His primary body of work blends charcoal and watercolor, often evoking a calm yet impactful atmosphere through delicate and bold line drawings in a limited color palette. In contrast, his less frequently used oil paint yields bolder, more vivid abstract pieces characterized by bright, jarring colors and thicker, intentional brushstrokes. Drawing inspiration from his own experiences—ranging from platonic and romantic relationships to self−portraits and still lifes—Taras experiments visually, allowing his work to evolve from classical objectivism to more abstract styles that define his current paintings.
