The mountain that the sun loves
Painting by Lana Korolievskaia
80 x 60 cm • Canvas, Oil
Location:
Dnipro, Ukraine
Sunlight transforms everything it falls on and fills it with meaning. The sun is a manifestation of love in our world. If it did not exist, there would be no life. Everything would be in an unmanifested state. An eternal impenetrable night of peace and sleep.
When the sun rises from the horizon, all living things wake up, birds begin to sing, processes in nature are activated, flowers turn their buds in the direction of the sun's rays to be saturated with vital energy. In this picture, the sun generously illuminated the majestic mountain. It looks dazzling against the blue sky. It seems that this mountain is a giant bar of gold, in plain sight, but inaccessible to anyone due to its impressive scale. Looking at the picture more closely, you pay attention to a small group of riders galloping in a race. Who are they? Gold diggers? Idle horse riding enthusiasts? Why are they jumping past this mountain? Maybe they have urgent matters awaiting them, or are they simply unable to see beauty? The sun didn't even touch their hats. And it cannot be wrong. Let's be like this mountain. May the sun illuminate us with its love and charge us with luminosity for others, turning us into bright gems. And let us be attentive to the beauty of everything that radiates love.
