People are like snails
Painting by Lana Korolievskaia
80 x 60 cm • Canvas, Oil
One of a kind
The snail, due to its spiral-shaped shell, is an important participant in the mythological description of the world. The spiral is a symbol of the center of space-time, from which the Creation begins to unfold. Each person is a whole world. In the modern world, a snail is a symbol of slowness and closeness. These traits, especially now, are inherent to many people. Therefore, we can safely say that people are like snails. They are alone in society. Each person walks in its invisible shell, hiding from its own kind. But, it is enough to look out of your shell, as you realize that outside of your narrow horizons there is a BIG WORLD, and it is beautiful.
