Flower of peace
Painting by Lana Korolievskaia
100 x 60 cm • Canvas, Oil
Location:
Dnipro, Ukraine
Long-suffering Ukraine is bleeding now. Despite this, the picture is filled with light and love for life. On the left side of the canvas is an iris flower, as a symbol of peace. Previously, the iris was actively used in monastic images and was considered one of the symbols of Christ. He pointed to the fortitude of the spirit and the endured suffering, as well as the sadness of the heart of the Mother of God. As if speaking about the other side of the medal of activity and courage, iris calls for peacefulness, like me.
