IHOR MELNYK
Ihor Melnyk is a Ukrainian artist working in the field of contemporary painting and abstract landscape. He was born in 1985 in Stryi, Lviv Region, Ukraine, where he currently lives and works.
In his artistic practice, Melnyk explores nature, space, memory, and the inner states of human experience. His paintings are not literal representations of reality, but rather emotional and visual reinterpretations of it. Since 2006, Ihor Melnyk has been a member of the artistic association “Stryi-KO”, and since 2013, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.

Melnyk’s works are included in the collections of the Cherkasy Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art and the Mykola Babak Foundation. His works are also represented by Goldens Auction House in Kyiv.
The artist’s paintings are held in private collections in the United States, Greece, Germany, France, Japan, and Ukraine.

A space where warmth emerges not only from light, but from the very matter of painting itself. Within muted grey and earthy tones, fragments of colour appear — yellow, red, pink, and blue. They evoke pieces of memory, sensations of a place that may never have existed in a literal sense, yet lives within us.
The landscape gradually releases itself from recognisable forms, transforming into an emotional space. There are no clear boundaries between earth, light, and shadow — only their interaction, movement, and quiet presence.
“A Warm Country” is not a geography, but an inner landscape. A place we return to not through sight, but through feeling.
