Mythologem Rhythm
Painting by Daria Butriashkina
200 x 150 cm • Canvas, Oil
One of a kind
The transformation of the mundane into the epic. Through specific images and narrative, everyday scenes attain the status of myth; the private history of each woman scales to a universal story of life. This work was made for an exhibition Intersecting Rhythms. The exhibition explores the intertwining of individual and collective rhythms within a single cyclical space. The circle becomes a metaphor for infinity and interdependence, where each artist, through her own form, material, and color, creates an autonomous rhythm that resonates with others, forming a dynamic synchronicity of a shared space. The exhibition comments on the collective experience and the complexity of existence in modern Ukraine, offering a metaphorical model of synchronicity and mutual support through art.
