Colorful awakening
Prints by Lana Korolievskaia
40 x 73 cm • Canvas, Screen print, Digital
This collage is not oversaturated with deep meanings. I just decided to refresh the portrait of a ballerina from 1995. Now it is colored.
I superimposed a watercolor from the early 2020s on a black and white graphic drawing. The original meaning is preserved - the girl is a reflection of nature awakening in the spring after a winter sleep. She stretches, working out her joints after a long period of immobility. Her eyes are still closed, but in a moment the dryad will wake up completely. Nature will bloom and bear fruit. In addition to the meaning of the calendar change of seasons, the concept of yin and yang, this metaphor can be extrapolated to any phenomenon that begins to manifest itself and make itself known. Let each of the viewers apply it to something that is important to them, the revival of which they are immensely happy.
