“I’m Just a Dreamer” is my new oil painting created with a palette knife on canvas.
In this work, I wanted to capture not just the vivid, slightly comical appearance of a mandrill, but his inner state — a quiet dream, a hint of melancholy, and a touch of wisdom.
There is something very human in his gaze: a little fatigue from the noise of the world, a longing for peace, for silence, for a universe of his own. I wanted to preserve this moment — soft, sincere, slightly ironic — when you suddenly recognize a part of yourself in an animal.
I used bold, saturated colors to emphasize his character and to create the feeling of an inner glow that lives inside every dreamer.
This painting is about those who see the world differently — deeper, softer, and more honestly.
