Finding of harmony in flower bliss
Prints by Lana Korolievskaia
70 x 100 cm • Canvas
This collage consists of the ink drawing "Search for harmony" (2024) and the pastel drawing "Flower Bliss" (2019).
A simple manipulation that I made while creating this piece was embodied in replacing the landscape background behind the girl with a floral one.
The sad mountain view in cold tones was transformed into warm spots of spring greenery, creating a mood of life blooming.
The girl's expression no longer looks so doomed and lost, but rather cautiously dreamy. After all, no matter how resistant a person is to circumstances,
the state of its soul is still largely determined by the environment. I combined the work of the pre-war and war periods in this collage. They are separated
by only 5 years. This is my act of projecting the peace from one historical period onto another. The artist is not able to change external circumstances.
He can only work with images to change reality from within softly.
