"Synthetic Flesh No.1", (2025)

This work explores the tension between surface and depth in the age of hyperreality. We live in a world where reality is still felt, but no longer recognized — replaced by its polished imitation. Perfect images displace real experience; decorative anxiety, aesthetic tension, and visual distortion are easily mistaken for depth. This series uses familiar elements — cold flesh, red water, synthetic skin — not to represent them, but to question our trust in visual symbols. The form triggers the expectation of meaning, but this time, there’s nothing underneath.
