Daria Butriashkina is a naïve artist. In her work, the artist explores themes of sexuality, self-acceptance, judgment, and prejudice toward the body. She was born on July 21, 1997, and spent her childhood in the Donetsk region of Ukraine.
She is educated as a lawyer, though she never worked in the field. For the past five years, she has been living in Lviv, where she also runs a small business. It was in Lviv that her interest in art began to grow, and in 2023, following the birth of her child, she started her artistic practice. Currently, the artist is actively learning, creating paintings, and seeking opportunities for artistic development.

"Fragments" is a series of paintings in which I explore the female body as a self-sufficient form
- faceless, without identity or narrative. Corporeality is a central element in my practice. In this series, it becomes a form of sensation, rhythm, and inner motion.
I focus on the torso — the shape remains almost unchanged between the two paintings, but the colors and emotional tone shift. The first piece uses a saturated red on a black background, evoking tension, depth, and drama. The second introduces custom-mixed wine and dark green tones that offer a sense of calm and stillness.
These works are not about erotica or provocation. They are about contemplating the body, dissolving into form, and feeling space through corporeality. My aim is to offer a gaze free from sexualization or moral judgment — guided solely by the painterly gesture.
