Hello! Iām Anna Didenko.
As an artist, Iām passionate about creating oil and mixed media artworks, ceramics sculpture, watercolours, graphics and digital illustrations.
Having worked in the creative industry for decades I have tried many media, and now I love to work on my iPad Pro. All of my digital artworks made in Procreate program.
Allow me to introduce myself:
ā based in Bucha, Kyiv region, Ukraine.
ā graduated from the Academy of Decorative Applied Arts and Design in Kyiv (in 2008 in Decorative and Monumental Art).
āa full member of the National Union Artists of Ukraine since 2013. I am a permanent member of the All-Ukrainian exhibitions, holding five personal exhibitions as well as participating in charity auctions. My art has also been sold into private collections around the globe, from the United States of America, to Japan to the UAE. My works expose in museums in Kyiv, Ukraine and Toronto, Canada.
During my artistic career I have been through many stages of developing my interests, experimenting with many different types of media. My true passion however, lay in painting and it is through this medium I have truly grown as an artist.
I characterise my style as āfolk-modernā, blending a fusion of modern techniques and thinking with traditional Ukrainian folk art. I am greatly inspired by people, and this is reflected in my work. I find my greatest inspiration in figurative painting focusing on the female form. I strive to communicate the essence of woman - her beauty and natural charms - while retaining that important connection with our heritage and past. I approach each project as a unique opportunity to explore these themes, interweaving powerful folk motifs with contemporary styles to create a complex artistic language that connects Ukrainian women to the past and the present.
My preferred medium is oil paint. My work features two types of oil painting - transparent and textured layering paint. This allows me to create spectacular effects on the canvas. This multi-layer effect is time-consuming as each layer must dry before applying the next one. However, this enables the colours to project from the canvas, becoming luminescent, deeper and bolder within the image giving each painting a dimensional quality.
As the war started I decided to make digital products to make things easier with delivery. So now I sell in my online gallery mostly digital art and some watercolour artworks. My oil and mixed media artworks, also ceramic sculptures are exposed on permanent exhibition at āMrii Mariiā gallery, Kyiv.
Thank you for your interest in my original and digital artworks, I hope you enjoy viewing my art as much as I enjoy creating them
