Anna Shkinder
Artist from Ukraine
I am a Ukrainian artist based in Lutsk, working primarily with abstract and floral paintings.
My practice is rooted in intuition and explores emotional states, memory, presence, and the human connection to nature and sensory experience. Working with fluid acrylic on raw canvas, I create atmospheric works through movement, spontaneity, and observation of the material itself.
Through color, texture, and abstraction, I aim to create spaces where viewers can pause, feel, and reconnect with their own inner experiences.

Vessel of Abundance
Mixed media by Anna Shkinder
100 x 150 cm • Canvas, Acrylic, Fabric
One of a kind
Round, full, earthly — this vessel appeared on the canvas without sketches or intention. Only later did its meaning become clear: forms like this once stood in ceremonial halls and on altars, offered as gifts and blessings for life's most meaningful moments.
Its medallions hold artichokes, a plant the Ancient Greeks associated with Aphrodite. Thorned on the outside and tender within, they symbolize a woman who knows both how to protect herself and how to love deeply.
Anthurium speaks of generosity and hospitality, while amaranth represents immortality and the enduring nature of what is truly felt.
Set against a warm pink background with quiet touches of gold, this painting celebrates a woman who carries abundance within herself and shares it with the world.
