One of a kind
A desert where time turns to sand. Here the journey comes to a state of rest. The Hero sits down - relaxed, material, confident. The whirlwinds of change rage above him, but he no longer fights them. He becomes the Observer. This is the final (and at the same time initial) point of the cycle, where a person realizes himself to be stronger than any external scenery.
The work is part of the series "Journey to..." - a series of five round canvases. The choice of the round shape of the canvas is a conscious departure from linear logic in favor of cyclicity. This is a study of a journey that has no final point, because its goal is the process itself.
At first it was a chaos of texture and color, later the Hero entered these viscous, hot or mystical environments.
Each circle is a lens that colors everything around in the appropriate color, based on my decisions made at that moment. These works worked as a tool for "level blending," where each step in depth becomes actually a step up.
