Artwork details
Chornobog (Chernobog, Chornobozhe, Temnovit, Mor, Darkness, Pitma) is the supreme god and guardian of the world of Navi. In Slavic tradition, Chornobog is the god of darkness, night, winter, misfortune, and fate, the antithesis of Svitlobog (Bilobog). He is not the embodiment of evil, but a force that keeps the world in balance, a symbol of shadow, without which there would be no light. The image of Chornobog is one of depth and calm, a sense of eternal balance between light and darkness.
