Ruslan Ivashenko
Artist from Ukraine
Ruslan was born 1986 in Yalta, Crimea. He graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv. He participated in many international art exhibitions and competitions (Kyiv, St. Petersburg, Berlin, Glendale (California)). Ruslan continues the tradition of the Crimean impressionistic landscape school. “The main source of inspiration for me is the southern nature. The leading theme of my works is the harmony of the coexistence of the landscape and a modern man. In landscapes, I emphasise the relationship between colour and light. The emotional impact of colour in painting is the most important factor for me, with colour being the main part of the work. The process of creating a painting en plein air is an incredible emotional outburst, the power of which I want to convey to the viewer."
