Drawing by Nikita Vlasov
60 x 90 cm • Acrylic, Tyvek, Chinese ink
A work in the style of abstract calligraphy—the primary artistic direction of Nikita Vlasov. It explores one of the artist’s central themes: chaos and chaotic structures. According to the artist, what people perceive as chaos is actually part of a complex system that remains invisible to us precisely because we exist within it. In his work, Vlasov examines how these hidden structures emerge, transform, and reveal patterns that challenge our perception of disorder. Created using a mixed-media technique with Chinese ink, acrylic, and airbrush. The piece is executed on Tyvek, a synthetic paper by DuPont. This material allows the artwork to be displayed without glass, as the artist believes that calligraphy should be viewed without any barriers between the material and the viewer’s eye.
