Castelet, 2022-2024, photo-modeling, oak frame, glass, 11 x 11 x 11 cm Layers and the decomposition of forms take on greater importance in this work. And for the first time, I'm working with volume. It's a photographic block composed by photo-modeling. A castelet is a puppet theater set, originally meaning “little castle (châtelet)”, it’s a small world, a miniature. Together with glass, this block evokes the window, the opening onto the world, the landscape that takes us elsewhere. The landscape is still, but the depth and reflection of the rediscovered light, and the reflections of the glass, give the illusion of reality. The landscape is constantly changing: it's the return of living.
