A kaleidoscope is a tubular instrument containing a set of mirrors and movable glass fragments, variously cut and colored, producing figures that vary with each jolt received by the device, which creates a set of shapes and colors. It comes from the three Greek words kalos, “beautiful”, eidos “form”, and skopein “to look at”.
