My name is Lisa, I was born in Kyiv in 1994., and my journey is only just beginning — even though its roots were planted long ago. I grew up in a family of unrealised artists. Maybe that’s why the love for drawing was passed down to me through my genes, because I’ve been painting for as long as I can remember.
But I never allowed myself to be an artist. I needed to earn money. So I started working at 16, and by 20 I was already building a career in political PR. For almost 9 years, I burned myself out at work. And yet, I never stopped drawing. That part of me has always been alive, no matter how hard I tried to silence it. It felt like fate kept whispering: “This isn’t your path. Your inner child wants something else.”
But I didn’t think I had the right to stop earning. So I stubbornly continued doing what was interesting… but never what my soul wanted.
Then life changed.
The w*r in my home country.
The move to Prague.
Complete uncertainty.
Not knowing who I was or what to do next.
And somewhere after turning 30, I finally understood: I need to do what I’ve been hiding all my life.
This is my path.
