Kateryna Petrenko is a Ukrainian artist; she explores the multifaceted nature of human experience, delving into the subject of individual vulnerability, their fears of life and their own mortality. Revealing on canvas, the surrealistic inconsistency between internal fluctuations and reality creates space for fragile, almost imperceptible experiences in life, which are so often ignored in favor of the omnipresent information noise. Born in 1998 in Lviv, she studies at the Faculty of Theory and History of Art at NAOMA, currently resides in Kyiv. She creates visual works mainly with oil paints on canvas and paper.
