Delnara El is a Ukrainian artist whose practice spans various mediums, including watercolor, acrylic, monotype, cyanotype, photography, and collage. Her work explores the intersections between the human and natural worlds, often using nature as a metaphor to convey themes of vulnerability, loss, and the search for home. Symbols such as house plans, nests, and the human body frequently appear in her pieces, representing identity, heritage, and the blurred boundaries of belonging. Delnara has exhibited widely, both in solo and group exhibitions, including her personal shows "Mediterranean" at Kalkan Culture House, Turkey (2024), and "Invisible Gardens" at the Taras Shevchenko Museum in Kyiv, Ukraine. She has participated in international group exhibitions at venues like CICA Museum in South Korea and NFT.NYC in New York, USA. Her work often reflects the turbulent events in Ukraine, using metaphors of plants and nature to explore the destruction and resilience brought about by war. Delnara believes in art’s power to connect people and tell stories that go beyond the immediacy of news, fostering a deeper emotional understanding. In addition to her artistic career, Delnara is also passionate about curating exhibitions and promoting Ukrainian art abroad. She has founded a community to support Ukrainian artists and often organizes art tours across Europe and Southeast Asia. Currently based in Turkey, she continues to explore themes of displacement, memory, and adaptation through her art.
