Anna Schuleit

My work spans a wide range, from museum installations to large-scale interventions in natural landscapes—forests, uninhabited islands, and psychiatric institutions. I work with diverse materials and media, including expansive sound systems, thousands of live flowers, living sod, telecommunication, bodies of water, and neuroscience technologies. My projects are driven by a commitment to conceptual clarity, compassion, and beauty, values that were recognized when I was named a MacArthur Fellow. The New York Times has described my work as "extraordinary," "powerful," "moving and healing," and Public Art Review referred to me as a "soul searcher."
