How it arrives:
Location:
Orihuela , Spain
Scenarios are written for women by society, the "right" age for decisions, artificial boundaries that are not accepted to be crossed, the canon of appearance and responsibilities - and no one explains why reality changes so slowly. There are the same "right" scenarios for men, children, teenagers ... And for whom is there not? The hero in this picture is running, but external rigid structures are still superimposed on top and pierce the circle through and through. This is an illusion that you can maintain autonomy while running. The outside world still leaves its imprints. You are free at birth, then you acquire norms and rules throughout your life that mold the correct and quiet cog of society. The blurred background visualizes the speed of movement, and the edge torn off by hand is a tactile trace of haste. This work has no fixed order in the series. I leave the viewer the opportunity to determine for himself where he is now: at the beginning of the escape, in motion or at the moment when you recognize yourself as a system, and not as an element in it. “From the Roma” is a work from the “Escape” section of the “Solomon’s Paradox” series. “Solomon’s Paradox” is a collection of 18 works created at the intersection of psychology, research into survival instincts, and my own personal experience of emigration. The series emerged from revelations shared with me on Instagram, and explores the moments when a person’s internal reactions determine their choices. Spain, 2024.
