A candlestick inspired by the traditional motanka doll — a symbol of protection and maternal energy.
The form compresses the gesture of wrapping into a solid ceramic volume.
Contained, bound, and inwardly focused.
Material: black-smoked ceramics (Gavarets technique), clay sourced from Sloviansk.
Wood-fired at ~970°C, where smoke penetrates the clay body, creating a deep graphite tone without surface coating.
The surface develops a subtle metallic sheen.
Each piece is singular, hand-thrown and shaped in a live material.
Function: candlestick.
Dimensions: diameter — 100 mm, height — 220 mm
Weight: 0.9 kg
