Marta Andrusenko
Artist from Ukraine
Marta was born in 1988 in Kyiv, Ukraine. Inherently creative from childhood. Marta began studying oil painting in 2017, but she only made a serious commitment to her artistic practice and exhibition work in 2023. She currently works primarily with acrylics and mixed media. She explores the relationship between the inner world of a human and their environment. She is interested in the role of a human in this world, their subjective perception of the world under objective circumstances. Marta is not looking for answers to global questions, she examines a microcosm, the inner world of a person. She reflects on her life experiences. Marta's artworks frequently incorporate elements of nature as symbols of beauty – unexplored, ephemeral, fleeting, and mortal. She draws parallels between these natural themes and the human experience. Marta communicates through abstract forms, bold and sharp brushstrokes, saturated colors, and florals all of which convey deep emotions and feelings that are integral to her work.

Mixed media by Marta Andrusenko
20 x 30 cm β€’ Acrylic, Thread, Fabric, Felt
One of a kind
How it arrives:
Location:
Kyiv, Ukraine
This is a visual translation of how I feel the pulse of the living world. Embroidered Sketches Series represents a multi-layered fusion of sketching, painting, and embroidery. What began as spontaneous entries in my sketchbook evolved and transformed, eventually coming to life as acrylic compositions on felt, enriched with intricate thread and yarn work. These unique pieces capture the very essence of my creative inquiries and technical experiments, aiming to push the boundaries of perception – both mine and yours. This is a mixed media artwork: an acrylic painting with embroidery on felt. This is artwork is not framed.
