Glib Franko is a Ukrainian painter and graphic artist whose work explores the interplay of colour, texture, and form. Born into a family of artists, he was influenced from an early age by his father, a watercolour painter, and his mother, a textile artist. He studied at the Kosiv Institute of Decorative Arts, Department of Monumental Painting, and later trained in painting conservation at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv. This background informs his careful approach to materials and the process of creation. Franko’s work moves between abstraction and figuration, addressing landscapes, natural forms, and everyday subjects. He primarily works in oils, creating rich, textured surfaces that support both experimentation and visual intensity.
