series “Garden of Moses”
Ceramic by Yuriy Voytovych
20 x 30 cm • Clay
Location:
Maliutianka, Ukraine
A feeling of tenderness and light. His image is like a memory that remains warm even through the years.
This deeply personal project tells the story of Yuriy’s great-grandfather, Moses. A century ago, he planted a garden in Podillia — a garden lovingly cared for by generations of his family. With every season, every harvest, stories of Moses lived on. His devotion became a lesson in nurturing the future and leaving a meaningful mark on this planet.
The idea for this series came to the artist during the full-scale invasion. From 2022 to 2024, Yuriy worked on shaping this story into form — as an act of remembrance and gratitude to his ancestors.
The composition consists of 8 sculptures, each with its own history, colour, and shape — like fragments of memory, rooted in the past and reaching toward the future.
The entire series is located in Great Britain and is ready for sale.
