Dimensions: Ø 50 cm, h 65 cm
Description:
This is a two-sided light installation inspired by the symbols of the Trypillian culture. It combines ancient motifs with modern technology to highlight the connection between the past and the present.
The first side features the Svarha symbol — a sign of harmony, natural cycles, and the movement of life. The composition is built like a mandala, with circles, spirals, and geometric shapes that were important in Trypillian worldview.
Integrated LED lighting brings the relief to life: the light gently moves through the surface, creating a sense of inner glow and shifting atmosphere. It allows familiar ancient symbols to appear in a new, contemporary form.
The second side recreates an authentic pattern found on Trypillian ceramics. It is an attempt to present this ancient visual language in a way that resonates with today’s viewer.
The surface is finished with a patina effect, making the object look as if it has been preserved in the earth for centuries. This adds a feeling of time, history, and depth.
The installation brings together tradition and modernity, inviting the viewer to experience a heritage that continues to live and inspire across millennia.
