Daniela Henrikson
Artist from Brazil
I am Daniela Henriqkson, a visual artist focused on sculpture and ceramics. My practice emerges from clay, organic and ancestral matter, a metaphor for life: to shape, to burn, to resist. I transform silence into substance and pain into creation, evoking reflections on the human condition. I seek to expand techniques and create works that provoke thought, emotion, and deep connection.

STONEWARE Hybrid beings, bodies unfolding between human and animal, women carrying the bird, the snake, and the wild boar —ancestral symbols of the three poisons that taint the mind. The bird, restless, brings greed that is never satisfied, flying high, yet always bound to insatiabledesire. The snake, sinuous and silent, is the poison of aversion, fear and anger that burn the roots of innerpeace. The wild boar, strong and fierce, represents ignorance —the shadow that clouds vision and imprisons the spirit in darkness. In these intertwined bodies, imperfection itself: not as a flaw, but as a chain that sustains the eternal cycle, the wheel of samsara spinning endlessly, between death and rebirth, where attachment, anger, and illusion weave our destiny.
