The papercut “Good News” is a poetic image of rebirth, peace, and bright words that unite people. Two women symbolize harmony in life, the unity of opposites, and the transmission of goodness from generation to generation. Two women are the embodiment of life and the continuation of the family line, female strength, and guardians of goodness. They can symbolize two souls exchanging blessings. Red is the color of life, energy, love, and joy. It is the color of the sun, the heart, and vitality. Green is the color of nature, renewal, harmony, and hope. Together, these two colors create a balance between fire and earth, action and calm. Birds are messengers of news, symbols of the soul, peace, and spiritual words. The papercut seems to tell how birds bring “good news” — news of life, spring, love, or birth. Willow branches are a symbol of spring, resurrection, and renewal. The willow embodies the Ukrainian land, softness and strength at the same time. It is also an image of blessing, as people are blessed with willow branches on Palm Sunday. Wreaths in the shape of trees represent the unity of women with nature, a symbol of fertility, wisdom, and spiritual growth. They resemble the Tree of Life, which grows within each person.
