My name is Vladyslav Durniev, and Iβm an artist from Ukraine. I work primarily with oil paints and a palette knife β a technique I love for its raw energy and honest expression.
For me, painting is not just about depicting the world, but about feeling it β and sharing that feeling with the viewer.
Iβm inspired by color, light, and atmosphere. Sometimes itβs a rainy cityscape, sometimes a moment of stillness among flowers, or the shimmer of sunlight on water. I donβt aim for precision β I aim for life in the brushstrokes, for emotion, for the mood of the moment.
I paint intuitively. Every texture, every color, carries my response to life, to memory, to movement. Iβm not trying to impress β I simply speak in the language of paint. And if one of my works makes you pause, smile, or feel something β then weβve already connected.
Technique: All of my paintings are created by hand with oil paints, mostly using a palette knife on canvas or canvas board. I work in a textured, expressive style β often in one sitting β to preserve the spontaneous energy of the moment.

In this painting, I wanted to capture that fleeting, dreamlike moment when the day seems to pause β when light, air, and reflections merge into quiet harmony. The gentle movement of water, the golden tones of grass, and the peaceful rhythm of the landscape create a sense of timeless calm. Itβs a painting about serenity, warmth, and the poetry of stillness.
