This artwork is based on a photo of a fellow traveler I once met on a train. I enjoy working with photography, reinterpreting and transforming it into something entirely different on canvas. This process of transformation inspires and excites me, as the image takes on a different life through painting. By contrasting blue and red, which oppose each other in both temperature and mood, I aimed to create a sense of harmony within the composition.
