In my work, I used classical painting techniques with three-dimensional layered modeling to highlight the psychological state of the figures and their inner turmoil through composition and color. In the end, a woman is left to look for support exclusively within herself. To save oneself, one needs to find the inner life-giving forces embedded in us by wise nature. A strong person, who is now a frightened child, must at the same time become a mother who loves, protects, envelops, and cares for her fetus. Only by taking care of ourselves like mothers are we able to overcome the crisis. I based my artworks on a series of photo-self portraits. The figures, which appear to partially melt or dissolve into the void, symbolize the disintegration of identity and the loss of free will in the face of oppressive circumstances. The dark background and oval formats in the images are reminiscent of the mother's womb. The image of the baby in the placenta expresses a state of deep vulnerability; however, it is located in the mother's womb and is protected. The naked female figures in my paintings are depicted in embryonic poses, serving as a metaphor for vulnerability, fragility, and the endless cycle of life.
