Midday on Kastellorizo
Painting by Lana Korolievskaia
61 x 31 cm • Oil on canvas
At midday, the sky, sea, boats, promenade, light umbrellas, and house facades all melt into one. This is a corner of absolute calm, where time flows slowly and silence is filled with sunlight and breeze. The roofs in red ochre, the multicolored walls form a festive, open palette, while human figures are nearly dissolved into color — like shadows of memories from a summer that never ends. The painting invites you into a world where the sea calls for the refined joy of rest.
