A tram to memories
Reflect on...
Artwork details
She touched the cup, and a wave of aroma rose from the light touch - bitter, tart, with a barely perceptible sweetness. Meanwhile, an old red tram was passing along the street - one of those that preserves a thousand stories in its wooden seats and ringing bell. It moved slowly, as if tearing time apart: the present moment smoothly flowed into memories.
She had already traveled this route long ago – in her childhood, when the tram seemed like a magical carriage that carried her to adventures. And now she watched it, remaining in place. But it seemed that this time it was the tram that carried memories to her.
Is it possible to be here and there at the same time? Sit at a table, warm your hands, inhale the aroma of freshly ground coffee – and at the same time ride the tram, listen to its chime, rush through the streets of memory?
Outside the window, the lights of the houses flickered softly, the snow continued to swirl, and the red tram
disappeared around the corner, leaving behind a faint ring and the feeling that space and time were just an illusion. She took a sip. In that moment, the past, present, and future merged into one.
