Serhii Hrekh
Artist from Ukraine
Feros (Serhii Hrekh) is a contemporary artist working in Ukraine. In his early career, he used the cityscape of Lviv, Ukraine as a canvas, creating graffiti works known for their bold use of color and shape. His raw and rebellious style gained recognition locally and beyond, with each mural telling a unique story inspired by personal experiences and societal issues. As Feros evolved as an artist, he transitioned from graffiti to abstraction and figurative surrealism. His works create alternate realities, distorting familiar forms to offer viewers a unique perspective on the world, and continue to evolve with enhanced sophistication and complexity. Each color choice is intentional, evoking specific emotions and narratives. His work mirrors his personal experiences and background and presents a powerful commentary on society, culture, and the human condition.

Dog 2
Painting by Serhii Hrekh
120 x 150 cm • Acrylic oil on canvas
Location:
Lviv, Ukraine
This is my second painting from the series "The dog". It's been almost two years since the first painting, but I decided to use the same approach where different elements are collaged and create a new image. These elements are quite random, these things that surround us, they influence and shape us. And from this environment, each of us grows a personality in the environment, which I depicted in the form of a beast, or a dog. Here I rather think about how randomly we are born into this world, in different countries and conditions. And this greatly affects the direction of life. And how much will we have to change these natural and shape the elements around us that we want to see
