Faded Emotions - Limited Edition 1/7

It is an ode to unrequited love and fading feelings. The image is part of my project “Important Messages,” which explores the nature of our communication. A message can go unread, unheard, or misunderstood—often leading to misunderstandings, breakups, and losses that could have been avoided. I explore how our communication, translated into digital format, changes its essence. Messages on social networks and instant messengers can diminish or devalue the meaning of our words. Virtual communication depersonalize us, leaving only a human silhouette. Important things dissolve in a stream of texts, emojis, and “read” messages. But there are topics that require more than just a set of characters on a screen. The voice on the phone, the pause before answering in a meeting—all this adds depth that chat lines lack.
