Blood and bones

I started working on this painting in February, just a few weeks before the war began. In the spring of 2022, I continued it in Berlin and finished it in London. For me, it became a transitional piece—bridging my previous style with a new, more expressive and intense approach. This painting carries emotions of uncertainty, anxiety, and inner transformation. It is infused with a sense of fragility, yet also with the strength of survival, adaptation, and the search for stability within chaos. It holds wartime emotions—not just fear or pain, but also a reflection of resistance and the process of finding oneself in a new reality.
