Elnara Nasirli is an Azerbaijani contemporary artist whose practice explores the intersection of environmental technology, biotechnology, and the natural world. Working across installation, sculpture, painting, sound, collage, and mixed media, she creates biomorphic environments that examine relationships between human perception, ecological systems, memory, and transformation.
Drawing on organic structures and natural processes, Nasirli combines reclaimed and unconventional materials with technological and sensory elements. Sound, spatial interventions, and interactive components play an increasingly important role in her practice, transforming her works into evolving environments rather than static objects.
Her artistic research focuses on ecological awareness, resilience, regeneration, and the complex relationships between humans and other forms of life. Through immersive and multisensory experiences, Nasirli explores the boundaries between the natural and artificial, living and non-living, while inviting viewers to reconsider their perception of and connection to the environment.

Mixed media installation with sound and live plants
Recorded and live music generated by plants on the growing artwork
This growing installation generates music in real-time through live plants. It collects constructive conversations between plants and shares these frequencies with listeners.
An up cycled piece of a piano is brought back to life by next-generation music producing technology. Data from the plants is collected from the sensors and plant's responses are translated into specific musical parameters such as pitch, rhythm, or volume. Each plant's unique characteristics and responses contribute to the creation of a distinct musical output.
Visitors can interact with the installation by observing and/or engaging with the plants. For example, they might touch the leaves or blow air gently to trigger specific plant responses and influence the generated music. The feedback loop between the plants and the music creates a dynamic and immersive experience.
All plant recordings during the extent of the exhibition will be used for a final musical composition at the closing.
