Born and currently based in Lisbon, João has always been captivated by the world of art. He studied Design at IADE - Creative University in Portugal and the NewSchool of Architecture & Design in California, but his primary focus now is on his three-year painting course at Ar.Co - Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual, where he’s deepening his artistic skills. João is passionate about abstract painting, drawing, and color—interests that have been a part of his life since a young age. His work often draws inspiration from pareidolia, the phenomenon that leads him to find meaning in random forms and patterns.
