
Tamara Safarova
Tamara Safarova was born in 1992 in Kyiv region. The main themes of her works are identity, cultural heritage, memory, and stereotypes. Works with oil painting, graphics, and digital art. The first solo exhibition took place in 2022 at Kunstmuseum (Stuttgart, Germany). Tamara has participated in 30+ exhibitions all over the world at prestigious venues such as National Museum of Ukrainian Folk Decorative Art (Kyiv, Ukraine), the Poltava Art Museum (Poltava, Ukraine), the Mala Gallery of the Art Arsenal (Kyiv, Ukraine), Rīgas dome (Riga, Latvia), Kühlhaus (Berlin, Germany), and others. In 2022 received an award in the program supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany for the personal project "Postcards from Ukraine". In 2023 obtained a grant for the personal project "Lost Beliefs" from Ifa (Stuttgart, Germany). In 2023-2024, participated in a residency program supported by UNESCO, the Andy Warhol Foundation, and the Tiger Foundation. Lives and work in Kyiv, Ukraine.
