Christine Drummond considers herself as a real Carioca, which means, in her birth country of Brazil, a person born and raised in Rio de Janeiro. True Carioca enjoy life, have faith in their future, and are natural optimists. She received her education at the French Lycée of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After her French Baccalaureat, she attended a business school in Paris, France. In 1999, she moved to the USA and started her career in painting in the year 2000, at first, using brushes, with no texture, but creating very colorful artworks to bring joy to people discovering her paintings, always aiming at depicting her native country. Using this technique enables her to find a new sense of freedom: she loves how, with bold strokes of her palette knife, she can create textures that make shapes and colors come to life on the canvas. In 2009, one of her wishes as an artist became reality: she not only had the opportunity to work with Professor Ablade Glover, but also had the privilege to paint alongside him in his own studio in Accra, Ghana. Today, Christine Drummond's artworks are showcased and sold all over the world: from Sydney to Paris, from Brussels to Monte Carlo, from London to Indianapolis, from New York to Sao Paulo...
