The recent sale of Maurizio Cattelan’s duct-taped banana and subsequent eating of the latter caused a fresh wave of contemplation on what art is and why it is.

Egor Guschin (b. 1988, Ukraine) is an artists with a diversified background. Guschin graduated from the Kharkiv University of Construction and Architecture with a degree in Organizational Management.

I am an outsider at the art fair. I was always afraid of attending private clubs, entering luxury shops or dining at very expensive restaurants. Not because I don’t like to (or can’t) spend but because… well, I don’t know why, I am just afraid. 

Myroslava Perevalska (b. 1972, Ukraine) is an artist based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Growing up Myroslava was surrounded by paintings and art books. She is an established artist with a very distinct style, having received more than 25 awards starting from the age of four.

Artem Andreichuk (b. 1983, Ukraine) is an artist who continues to live and work in his homeland.

Eugene Pokutnev (b. 1989, Ukraine) is a contemporary artist based in Dnipro. His works captivate viewers with their striking use of colour and the “vertigo effect” he achieves through the use of ‘jet-black’, a special Japanese paint known for its intense depth and texture.
