We live in a moment when artificial intelligence has made visual culture mass-produced and, essentially, cheap. Images, style, and even “beauty” can now be created by anyone — quickly, effortlessly, and with nothing at stake. When everything became accessible, it stopped being a luxury.

We are losing the ability to appreciate beauty for its own sake. Why reducing art to a tool for social approval and practical utility leaves us spiritually impoverished.

The recent sale of Maurizio Cattelan’s duct-taped banana and subsequent eating of the latter caused a fresh wave of contemplation on what art is and why it is.

Twin sisters Mishel and Nicol Feldman, known as Sestry Feldman, have never followed convention. Born in Dnipro in 1996, their artistic journey began at the age of eight, driven by an innate curiosity and a family that valued freedom, self-expression, and resilience.
